Based on the comments in this thread we have decided to close this thread. There are already other open threads about governanace, MetaTalk and the Meta Queue.

None of this is meant as a "told ya so". We do support the removal of the Meta Queue and recognize that this change will come with new complications but I'm sure we can sort them out with your input.

Based on the comments above and here it looks like the best course of action is to close both threads given that there are others already open about governanace, MetaTalk and the Meta Queue.

Please continue the conversation there and let us know if anything else is needed.

Yes, totally. I met with Brandon this morning and we agreed to ban them for good.

Transphobia needs to be grounds for an immediate and irreversible ban. Nothing less will do.

Yes, a full ban is in order. Transphobia has no place here. Period. The temporary ban while the moderation team discussed the issue was a decision to stop the user right there and allow some time for us to discuss collectively, not because we need to decide our stance when it comet to transphobic content, but because we take full ban seriously and discuss them together as a team.

What steps are you taking towards that?
– We've moved from this being a one person effort to a team effort and set timelines/owners for each section of the site update.
– I'm working with the board to set better communication channels for volunteers, the board and the staff.
– Brandon and I discussed just yesterday the possibility of breaking the site update into different posts (tech updates, admin updates, moderation updates, etc..) that way once section won't hold the other.
