If a person finds something interesting, by all means, post it! But making a post to simply say another member thinks this issue is important, so here's a post is not that. If you care about the issue, please provide a link or two telling us why it's interesting
MetaFilter post New York Times editorial against anti-semitism deleted. This editorial is rage bait and the poster admits to sharing it just to see what people say, which sounds like egging on rage bait.
MetaFilter post Digital Collections at the Ewell Sale Stewart Library deleted. After this obituary post was created and numerous positive comments were made, allegations of off-site abuse were made about the deceased. Those allegations were deemed credible, which eventually resulted in deletion of this thread.
No part of MetaFilter was used in off-site abuse.
Multiple members requested that their comments be removed from the thread after the allegations were made and those requests were done.
